For years, we were only dreaming about it. Finally, when an opportunity presented itself, we made our move. Both literally and figuratively.

Through all those years, we always talked about moving to Colorado after we retire. Given the US retirement ages for women and men: that seemed to be a remote possibility, something we might be able to do many-many years into the future.

So we kept playing with this romantic thought, until we had a serious conversation about our future as a family and realized: why wait for several decades? To be on the safe side, first we booked a mini family vacation. We wanted to see if Colorado is just this magical place we built up in our minds through the years or that is really the place where we wanted to be. At the end of our trip, While we were waiting to board our return flight, we already knew we have to move here. Shortly after we got home, our house was on the market, under contract within days. We started getting rid of all the excess stuff we accumulated through the years setting ourselves up for as light of a move as possible. New chapter, new way of living.

We sold/donated/gave away most of our possessions, packed up two cars, put together some more stuff that we could fit on a pallet (most of which we ended up donating away upon our arrival) and then on a chilly spring morning, we were on our way to a new chapter in our life: driving West only to arrive to Colorado two days later. Why? Because we Just Felt Like Moving To Colorado.

Fast forward a few years: finally published this site with the idea to host all kinds of content. Some for others with similar ambitions might find interesting or even useful. Some content that is not specific to Colorado at all. Most likely running or some other outdoor activities. Some content might be even completely random. We’ll see how it goes. Maybe you’ll find some easy reading here that you like.
